11th Annual Historic Roswell 5K

START:  Roswell United Methodist Church

814 Mimosa Blvd.

TIME:      9:45 a.m.

FINISH:  Roswell Area Park (entrance off Woodstock Rd.)

COURSE:  This race precedes the 57th annual Roswell Youth Day Parade.  It begins on Mimosa Blvd. in the Roswell Historic District, near the front of the Roswell United Methodist Church.  The race runs along Canton St. Turns left on Woodstock, and then enters Roswell Area Park where it shifts onto the trail, finishing on the football field in the park.  This course is quite flat (ok, only 2 very short hills) and is very scenic.

PARKING/TRANSPORTATION:  Participants parking in Roswell Area Park will be unable to leave the park until completion of the Youth Day Parade.  Parking near the finish is available at Crabapple Middle School, 10700 Crabapple Rd. (departure unimpeded by the parade).  Parking near the start is available at Roswell United Methodist Church, Roswell Presbyterian Church and Roswell City Hall, 38 Hill Street.  No transportation will be provided.  Walkers are welcome - no dogs or in-line skates on the course. NOTE: Baby joggers are ok; just be courteous to fellow runners.

AWARDS:  Male & Female:  Overall & Masters winners, and the top 3 finishers in the following age groups:  10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 & over.

FREE STUFF:  Participants receive a colorful, quality, long-sleeved t-shirt, packet w/goodies & plenty to eat/drink.  There will be random drawings for door prizes!!  Pick up prizes, t-shirts at finish area.
